Japanese term

期間保証広告

Japanese to English Marketing Advertising / Public Relations
Hi everyone - I have come across this term and cannot find a suitable English equivalent. Literal translations like "time-guaranteed" or "guaranteed-time" ads return few Google hits; "limited-time" may mean something else entirely. Thoughts?

Thank you in advance!

Advertising with a guaranteed minimum display period

“Advertising with a guaranteed minimum display period”
How you translate will depend on the context. This is a type of advertisement/commercial. The phrase ends with 広告, so the preceding characters qualify what type of advertising it is. The point is the client is paying to have his advertisement displayed for a (minimum) set period of time.

agree Chrisso (X) : In advertising the display period is used for the the days, weeks or months a billboard is shown so it might cause confusion here.

Yep, and it doesn't just have to be a billboard. If the media owner doesn't have any other advertising to run when the period is over, the ad stays in place - but the client pays for a set period for which it is displayed.

display advertising for a guranteed time period

What's guaranteed is "a period of time". Hence, I suggest you include "period" somewhere in your translation like "a guaranteed time period" or "a guaranteed period of time" so that the translation would not be interpreted as guaranteeing to show an ad at a certain time of the day.

guaranteed display time

I'd go with "guaranteed display time" based on the explanation.

"Guaranteed advertising uptime" could be an option.
