French term
15 pas jointifs de vertex aux pieds
French to English
Medical
Medical (general)
18F-FDG nuclear perfusion scan
Dear colleagues,
I am not sure what they are getting at here and would appreciate your help.
Technique:
L’acquisition TEP (15 pas jointifs de vertex aux pieds) a été couplée à une TDM de correction d’atténuation à faible dose sans injection de produit de contraste.
Thank you!

I think 'step' (pas) refers to movement of the PET scan bed through the scanner

: I'd prefer steps over slices, as slices has a slightly different meaning in PET/CT (= 1 detector width)

15 contiguous slices from vertex to base
Explanation of FR "pas jointifs":
https://www.researchgate.net/figure/235918121_fig1_Fig-1-Res...
L’enregistrement corps entier (du vertex à la racine des cuisses) s’est effectué sur sept à neuf pas jointifs d’une durée de quatre minutes chacun, en mode 3D avec une matrice 128 x 128.

(or) 'vertex-to-base' as an adjective

...different lengths corresponding to different vertex-to-base distances...

OK, 'vertex to feet' is probably right. I had assumed brain tomography, and was concentrating on clarifying "pas jointifs." I should have checked "aux pieds" more thoroughly.

Note from asker:
I don't think this is completely correct: I understand this to mean 15 continuous slices from the vertex of the skull to the feet. |
Discussion
this is not a scan of the brain though.
So they must be talking about the vertex of the skull to the feet.
"Base de la crane" = base of skull.
