Donor Provider: provider from where You exported the Number.
Portability Process: technical and administrative procedure adopted for the full migration of the User’s Number from the Donor Provider to Company or from the Company to another Provider.
Mobile number portability is implemented in different ways across the globe. The International and European standard is for a customer wishing to port his/her number to contact the new network (recipient), which then sends the number portability request (NPR) to the current network (donor). This is known as "recipient-led" porting. The UK and India are the only exceptions to implement the donor-led system.

The donor provider and the alternative roaming provider have to ensure that, when implementing the technical modality, any roaming customer using local data roaming services has the possibility to cease using local data roaming services and to return to the default roaming services provided by the donor roaming provider at any time.
