Spanish term

perdurará a la terminación del contrato

Spanish to English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s) Non-compete agreement
Taken from a non-compete agreement:

"Esta cláusula perdurará a la terminación del contrato. "

Does this mean that the clause will survive any termination of the contract?

Thanks!

neutral Traduz4Clarity : I am curious: considering the pillars for a contract to exist (General Theory of Contracts): volition of both parties, legal capacity to enter a contract, and a legal (I.e., not illicit) subject matter how can a contractual clause persist after it's gone?

Some of these clauses are related to intellectual property rights and copyrights, so they should survive or persist.
