Interesting! Good link. And quite interesting, tłoczkowy​ seems to have the same root as the Polish word for translating-interpreting. If so, that's a perfect parallel to the Swedish word, since it also means interpreter

Thank you for your contribution and engagement. Unfortunately the context is not really helpful. The previous sentence reads: "Remove protective screws on leg flooding valve pipe". And then we have "Perform test with tolk. (...)". Which is followed by: "Inspect and prepare cable". There is no illustration either. I do not really understand what is actually measured here but I suppose that it may be the diameter.

Thanks, Frank I see, okay. -- The two cylinders of a go/no-go gauge are both used inside a bore.

This was just an example, confirming the tolk may come from Swedish and that it is a gauge of some sort.
The Asker may want to provide us with extra information regarding what is about the pipe that is being measured after welding.

The presence of two tolk cylinders does point to two measurements being taken (inside/outside diameter?).

Why tapered? I don't think you would use a tapered gauge for a pipe. The source text has "Test with both tolk cylinders..." -- seems to me that it refers to a go/no-go gauge (cylindrical)
