Spanish term

talón bajo

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Engineering (general) sellos inflables
Se trata de un sello inflable. Solo menciona " talón bajo" como parte de su descripción, no tengo más info que las medidas del sello en cuestión.
Muchas gracias.

Marina.

As Robert notes, "bead" may be a more appropriate choice, depending on the type of seal and/or materials involved. As in this link:

http://www.austplas.com.au/profiles.asp?ProfileType=B

"Low bead seal with good expansion bellow, most common domestic seal."

"Tire bead is a term for the edge of a tire that sits on the wheel"- (Wikipedia dixit).

neutral Robert Carter : Sorry, Neil, but I had a fairly good look at these too. I couldn't find any reference to "heels" with these things, although I did find "talón" in relation to tyres, which appears to be the "bead".

So "low-bead seal" then if it's about tyres. I'm adding a note to that effect. Cheers.
