French term
départ en campagne valide
French to English
Other
Business/Commerce (general)
Employee Health and Safety Booklet
This appears under 'Déplacements professionnels'.
I think this has to do with checking any equipment taken off site for use on off site jobs is in good order. However I can't find a good translation for 'départ en campagne valide'. Any help appreciated. My deadline is 11 am 02/11 French time.

on official/genuine business trips
It appears to be about having everything in order equipment and document-wise when making official business trips;

: "on official/genuine business trips" requiring "Service de Santé au Travai"? "départ en campagne" = a bog standard business trip? sounds like trying to fit square pegs in rounds holes ....

Well, as it's professionals who are on health business, don't see why not;

Discussion
As this appears to be H&S, I would bet that 'équipements' here doesn't just mean 'any equipment I might be taking with me', but more specifically the PPE (and possibly collective PE) required to perform whatever work I am going to have to do.
As for 'campagne', I can only think they are looking at it in terms of a H&S 'campaign', in the sense of the particular issues relating to the tasks to be peformed. I'm not even clear if 'valid' qualifies 'campagne' — or 'départ'?
I would imagine any work carried out is technical. I also was having difficulty in making 'valide' work - maybe it's a typo validé?

départ en campagne [the kind of language used by the military?]
all this sounds like these "Déplacements professionnels" are about detached worker / expat being sent in some distant place abroad (... hors Europe) for quite some time, to work in some dangerous occupation requiring all sort of "formations / habilitations", definitely not your bog standard business trip where the biggest "danger" would be running out of battery on your mobile ...
what kind of work are these people supposed to be doing? VRP - voyageurs et représentants de commerce? Doesn't sound likely ...
Sending say an electrician or LAN installer to work on some distant site would qualify as "business trip"?
out of context, this "valide" hardly makes sense - what would be "un départ en campagne non-valide"? and even "départ en campagne" sounds odd - it's more the kind of language used by the military.
