neutral Sandro Tomasi : Have no idea how to translate "conllevará por contera," but archivo definitivo is dismissal with prejudice, and indagación would need something more to give the civil-law proceeding some meaning, e.g., preliminary judicial investigation.

I am presuming that this relates to a criminal charge.
I admit that my suggested translation is wording used in UK (specifically England & Wales moreso than Scotland). It essentially means that there is no verdict, but neither is there a formal acqittal of the defendant.

Asker does not say which EN-spkg country the translation is for.

I haven't had time to research the situation in Colombia, where it is possible that there may be "variations" of this outcome.
