période de pas returns by far and away the greatest number of Google hits — BUT that includes a great many red herrings, which are not easy to filter out.
période de tonie looks promising, but returns only around 4,000 results — possibly not surprising, given the highly specialist field in which it occurs. Certainly, 'tonie' is indeed used for 'pitch' in certain other contexts too.
période fondamentale returns some 22,000 results on Google — but this term occurs in so many fields, it's difficult to weed out the relevant ones.
All of the above terms appear in a number of patents translating 'pitch period' from original texts in EN.

So far, I have not been able to find any native FR documents about this subject to confirm which technical terminology appears to be the most widespread. I have not found anything to indicate what research is currently being pursued in France.
