: I wonder, is the anillo the same as apertura aórtica? Or isn't it rather the wall circumference measured at the insertion of the leaflets? 19mm would be a bit on the small side for the latter.

Grax!

Aortic Valve - Apertura aórtica - Aortic valve opening
Aortic valve
The aortic valve normally has three cusps – a left, right and posterior cusp
When the left ventricle contracts (systole), pressure rises in the right ventricle. When the pressure in the left ventricle rises above the pressure in the aorta, the aortic valve **opens**, allowing blood to exit the left ventricle into the aorta. When ventricular systole ends, pressure in the left ventricle rapidly drops. When the pressure in the left ventricle decreases, the aortic pressure forces the aortic valve to close. The closure of the aortic valve contributes the A2 component of the second heart sound

Aortic valve stenosis
In this condition, the flaps (cusps) of the aortic valve may become thickened and stiff, or they may fuse together. This causes narrowing of the *aortic valve opening*. The narrowed valve isn't able to open fully, which reduces or blocks blood flow from your heart into your aorta and the rest of your body.

Anatomy of the Aortic Valvar Complex
The aortic annulus is a fibrous ring at the aortic orifice to the front and right of the atrioventricular aortic valve and is considered the transition point between the left ventricle and aortic root. The annulus is part of the fibrous skeleton of the heart.

Discussion

You can also see in your reference (""Para la medición del área de apertura valvular aórtica") that it is the "area" (valvular opening area) what you measure (cm2) and not a diameter (cm or mm)...
Cheers!
The aortic annulus is the base of the aortic root - El anillo aórtico es la base de la raíz aórtica
http://www.revespcardiol.org/es/la-imagen-raiz-aortica-era/a...
RAo = raíz aórtica - aortic root is the first abbreviation in this context, then AAo= ?, AI= aurícula izquierda = left atrium and VD = ventrículo derecho =right ventricle.
While I am writing this, I have just found out that the aortic valve opening is also measured within processes of echocardiography:
"Para la medición del área de apertura valvular aórtica" In order to measure the area of the aortic valve opening ...
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S071686401...
However, this is the only reference I have found in Spanish within this context so far and I cannot find any references for aortic valve opening in English. In addition, there are plenty of references in Spanish proving that the aortic annulus is measured within echocardiography.
Now, the guessing goes on. I haven't really focused on the measurements but we look forward to your feedback, Cheers.
Another example: this link tells me that AAo is área aórtica
https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=-URGDgAAQBAJ&pg=PT260&lp...
And yet this other link says that AAo is = Arteria aorta

AS [Aortic Stenosis] is defined as narrowing of the aortic valve opening, which reduces blood flow from the heart into the aorta. The normal size of the aortic valve area (AVA) at maximum opening of the valve is 3 to 4 cm2 [2]. When the AVA decreases below 1 cm2, AS is considered to be severe [3].
https://www.google.es/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://...

I couldn't tell whether it was "anillo aórtico", "apertura aórtica" or "arco aórtico". Based on the measurement, the first of these seems like a good contender (19 mm may be too small for the others). But at least I'm not the only one who's unsure. The jury's still out on this one...

https://www.pediatriaintegral.es/numeros-anteriores/publicac...
According to these explanations 'mm' represents the measurement of time/velocity and not the diameter.
