Spanish term

definidores funcionales

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general) Argentina
This is a project dealing with taxpayer accounts and development of the tax information system. It is in a brief list, does not recur in the text, and there are no clues from context.

Below is the paragraph in which it occurs:

Aún está pendiente también, cerrar el proceso de contratación de definidores funcionales, programadores y analistas y la responsabilidad acerca de cada uno de los grupos. Recaudación y Sistemas, tienen que decidir por ejemplo, quién va a ser responsable de la contratación de los analistas.

Thank you very much for your assistance. I closed this because I can’t accept an answer based on a guess or Google translate. The attitudes I’ve encountered here are disappointing.

@Tina My Google comment was simply to point out that while GT readily provides a "translation", a subsequent Google search for the same turns up zero results. Many of the people we get posting here are translating into their L2 and would normally welcome any sort of help offered at all. We can't all be luminaries.

@AllegroTrans Thanks for defending my rep and site activity.
AllegroTrans Oct 29, 2018:
Asker With the greatest of respect I don't think it's for the asker to tell responders how or where to get their information. For one thing, Neilmac is a highly experienced contributor to this site and I am quite sure he is well aware of the limitations of Google Translate.
Having said that, for CERTAIN language pairs and subjects (especially "officialese"), Google Translate returns surprisingly near-to-accurate results, albeit in need of revision by a competent human translator.
Tina Delia (asker) Oct 29, 2018:
Google Translate? Really? This is a professional forum. Most professionals who have posted a query here are looking for something authoritative and have exhausted all the obvious channels. We should expect higher standards.

functional analysts

It is something of a guess - no references
Peer comment(s):

agree Brenda Trampe : Hello, the "definidor o definidores" are the ones determining certain "funciones u operaciones" (of certain activity). So I sould use: "Functional determiners" or even "Operations determiners". In case you don´t want to use definers or functional.

functional definers

GoogleTranslate says: "functional definers, programmers and analysts"...
But a Google search returns -No results found for "functional definers, programmers and analysts"-.
However, as Spanish writers in general just seem to be really fond of threesomes, I wouldn't worry about the "definers" part and suggest that your best bet is to go with Allegro's suggestion and use something like " "IT programmers and functional analysts"...
