Tracing relief

English to Dutch Law/Patents Law (general)
Hi,

Does anyone know the translation of "tracing relief" in a legal context?

It's in a claim form.

For 'tracing' relief' you could perhaps use something like: vordering uit hoofde van subrogatie krachtens buitenlands recht (in de vorm van 'tracing').
Sarah Van Pevenage (asker) Dec 14, 2018:
Hi, some more context: it's in a sentence where it is described what the claimant is seeking from the defendant. 'tracing relief' is one of the things amongst disclosure and declaratory relief.
Kitty Brussaard Dec 14, 2018:
More context? Hard to say anything conclusive about this but 'tracing' here probably refers to the Anglo-American legal concept that's closely related to what's known as 'zakelijke subrogatie' (or 'zaaksvervanging') in European continental law. If so, it's best left untranslated rather than translated as 'zakelijke subrogatie' because there are too many differences between the two concepts.
