Cette phrase fait référence à la connectivité qui n'est pas encore très développée. Pas beaucoup de connectivité induit, logiquement, pas beaucoup d'influence. Autrement dit, le niveau d'influence a un rapport à la connectivité, d'où l'idée de "to match".

I think in fact you probably need to treat the sentence as a whole, in order to produce something more idiomatic in FR.
It also probably depends rather a lot on the wider context: I'm assuming that 'in its infancy' means not yet very well developed', so what they are saying is that it therefore isn't yet having much influence; but of course, it would be helpful to know what the overall standpoint of this article is, and also, if you can work out what it is that it might / ought to be having an influence on — I'm guessing something like 'the market for cleaning machines'?
I suspect in FR it would be best to spell out in which sense this 'influence' is 'corresponding', by making it explicit that it is not a very great influence (if that is indeed the case!).

Thanks, Daryo! I'd feel happier if we knew more precisely what the document was implying 'was being influenced'? I suspect it just means 'not yet weighing in for much in the market' — not 'counting', whence my idea...?
