Spanish term

guión de montaje

Seems like a film term.

Thanks

Muriel Vasconcellos Jan 31, 2019:
Installation artist? If she's an installation artist, this could refer to the script underlying the installation. I remember seeing an installation (in a very respected museum) with a woman trapped under a chair, and there was audio of her calling for help. The "script" might be the story of why she was feeling trapped.

Montage Screenplay
Formatting a montage sequence. ... A montage is a collection of very short scenes, sometimes only a single shot each, designed to show a series of actions over time. Depending on the needs of the sequence, there are a few different options for how to write a montage in screenplay form.

mise-en-scène

In English, the French term “mise-en-scène” is common in both theater and film. It refers to the placement and arrangement of all sets, props, lighting, etc. I’ve also seen the term “staging script”, but I think the Fench term is more widely recognized.

“Mise-en-scène (French pronunciation: [miz.ɑ̃.sɛn] "placing on stage") is an expression used to describe the design aspect of a theatre or film production, which essentially means "visual theme" or "telling a story"—both in visually artful ways through storyboarding, cinematography and stage design, and in poetically artful ways through direction. It is also commonly used to refer to single scenes within the film to represent the film. Mise-en-scène has been called film criticism's "grand undefined term".”

underlying script

I think she means the way the pieces are now set out depicts the messages the art is trying to put across - in other words the "script" underlying her art. (The set-up of the installations is itself meaningful, as are the installations themselves, that's why ...el concepto del guión de montaje Y la instalación).
So you could translate it along the lines of:
...sets them out in a way that, despite being more conventional, thematically stages both the installation and the underlying artistic script.

I also agree with neilmac that no mention of 'screen' should be made.

Last summer I translated a very detailed course on making films. I was given a glossary with this term and its translation.

The village is an open-air gallery with artists at work in their studios and staging exciting exhibitions. A painting hung in the morning can find a home before evening falls… if it captures the heart of a visitor.

Storyboard

Declined
Based on the context she talks about putting together images and paintings, some others defined it as the artistic script. Usually filmmakers before the mise-en-scène and filming the movie, they use a storyboard which is a graphic organizer of how the movie is going to play out, it usually drawn with images to portray the sequence of the movie, and so they usually draw the different kind of shots and what they want to have on screen. However, it may be the mise-en-scène.

Screen or no screen?

I don't think "screenplay", the cinematic term, is appropriate if there are no screens involved; "script" seems to be more suitable.
Perhaps "montage script" might work...

NB: I don't think any mention of "film" or editing is appropriate in this query either (although I may be mistaken).

I'm really just posting this reference to avoid disagreeing or pooh-poohing any of the answers posted so far. In my take, "montaje" would be as in the fourth definition listed: "any combination of disparate elements that forms or is felt to form a unified whole, single image, etc.", in other words the putting together (assembly) of the installation.

agree Robert Carter : Yeah, definitely can't see what "screenplay" has to do with it.
