En el tratamiento de las infecciones intraabdominales y en las de piel y tejidos blandos causadas por enterobacterias productoras de carbapenemasas, las combinaciones dobles de tigeciclina con un carbapenem o un aminoglucósidos fueron las más comunes y en el caso de las infecciones de tracto urinario complicadas lo fue la asociación de un aminoglucósido con fosfomicina (34/105, 32,4%).
En el caso de infecciones causadas por P. aeruginosa con resistencia a carbapenémicos, el tratamiento combinado unió al cuerpo central de la polimixina (colistina) un carbapenem (54,7% en el caso de las bacteriemias), un aminoglucósido o fosfomicina.

I'm not sure what author is talking about with "central body of the polymyxin". I can't find Google results on this. Thoughts?

Could it be something to do with the fact that polymyxin contains two antibiotics?
