Discussion

Beatriz Souza Jun 2, 2019:
Birth Certificate - State of Paraná - RG. -acc.fls Boa noite, Jeanne Zang.

In view of the context, i'd say that em algumas Certidões de Nascimento brasileiras, aparecia o termo ASSENTO, com dois SS, no início do documento.

my 1.5 cents.

Not out of context at all. I have lived in Brazil for many years and have translated tons of certificates like this.

Note from asker:
Context is everything. As Douglas Bissell said, this answer (which already appears in the ProZ glossary) makes no sense in the context of a birth certificate of a baby who is a few days old.
Peer comment(s):

neutral Douglas Bissell : on a birth certificate? How old do you need to be to ride a bike there?

Obviously this is ID info on the father. Surely the newborn baby does not have an RG (ID card) and in Brazil you may attach copy of the driver's license in this type of identification requirements. It's not out of context at all!!
agree T o b i a s : Presumably being used in lieu of the RG. http://www.detran.rj.gov.br/_documento.asp?cod=8490

Thanks Toby :) Indeed, in lieu of the RG....I suppose I didn't make myself clear on that. There's a field to fill in the person's RG number and often the CNH (Brazilian driver's license will do or in this case it's the ACC).
Something went wrong...
4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks. This did not make sense to me until you explained that it was the father's ID. It would have been helpful to explain that in the original answer."
