Another possibility is "post", but that is usually understood to be a vertical member, and these cabrios are almost certainly horizontal members.

I found the definition but didn't think it was worth posting even a reference, let alone an answer!
This piece of wood is 4 inches by 4 inches in cross-section, & probably not very long, so it's probably not grand enough to be a "beam". Here, maybe "board" or "plank" would be appropriate.
