I.e. leave all fixing methods in place, holding it to the wall for example. Cross ties, or diagonal braces used to hold the scaffolding rigid.

: If this is the type of ties, that attach the scaffolding to the structure, then yes; but it could equally be the 'ties' that are cross-stuts or diagonal stiffeners.
