Spanish term

el INR > 1,5 asoció una encefalopatía hepática

I have so far: ...and the definition of acute hepatic failure was defined as a prothrombin activity 1.5 associated with hepatic encephalopathy.

My references don't state an INR > 1.5 as specifically associated with hepatic encephalopathy so I'm wondering if perhaps a word is missing here. However maybe it is correct. Opinions?

TIA,

Juliette

The original differentiates a severe acute hepatitis (when prothrombin activity decreases below 50% and/or the INR is increased above 1.5) from acute hepatic failure (when in addition to a prothrombin activity below 50% and/or an INR > 1.5 there is also hepatic encephalopathy).

I am not convinced that asoció is translated by "associated with", perhaps "involve"??? No more time.
