Most methods of cutting leave a small burr on the end of the tube. Unless these rough edges are removed, erosion-corrosion may occur due to local turbulence and increased velocities in the tube. Tools used to ream tube ends include the reaming blade on the tube cutter half-round or round files, a pocket knife, or a suitable deburring tool.
