Italian term

Fabbisogno occupazionale

Italian to English Bus/Financial Marketing / Market Research field
Is it possible to translate fabbisogno occupazionale into "market shortage"? Or "Employment needs/requirements" is better?

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (1): Tom in London

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

I agree We shouldn't be guessing. The general meaning is clear, but not the right wording for the context.
shortage? With no context we can only guess if there is a shortage or not

Thanks
neutral Janice Giffin : "Manpower" is out of place nowadays. Gender neutral would be more appropriate.

workforce demand

While I agree with Wolfgang, I think in macroeconomic terms this may also be a valid option.
Example sentence:

This is why a CEO or an HR manager must properly estimate workforce demand, select the most efficient calculation methods and find sources of covering this need before looking for new employees.

staffing requirements

Another option.

workforce profile requirements

"Fabbisogno" implies what skills and knowledge a company needs from new hires. A potential employee's profile must include new skillsets in a rapidly changing job market.

"A professional profile is a brief summary of your skills, strengths, and key experiences. It also should convey ......... what you have to offer the person reading it."

Example sentence:

"...competency development for improved performance. Make these competencies an integral part of enterprisewide workforce profile requirements.

"recruit sufficient core front line staff to meet workforce profile requirements in 2017/18".
