French term

Reprise des éléments d’actifs

French to English Law/Patents Business/Commerce (general)
Hi everyone,

The full sentence is:

...liquidation amiable du déposant sans reprise par quiconque des éléments d’actifs.

Is this a takeover of assets? I'm not quite sure exactly how this works. Any suggestions would be very welcome!

Thanks!
Nick

Takeover of the assets

Given the context, "éléments d’actifs" would certainly be "assets" since mention is made of the liquidation of something (asset) owned by the depositor.

agree Francois Boye : 'some assets' instead of 'the assets'

The sentence that follows should shed more light on this but I think it should be "the assets" and not "some assets"

agree philgoddard : "Some assets" would be wrong.

reversal of the assets

It mentions an informal settlement of the applicant (depositor or investor) with no asset recovery for any person involved.

The answer should really be 'asset recovery'.
Example sentence:

"Une liquidation amiable du déposant sans reprise par quiconque des éléments d'actifs" est mentionnée.
