The aim of the first connected light trap device is to monitor and kill flying insects and includes the following key features:

- Automatic fly count process for small, medium and large insects
- Records Movement, Counts and Pictures of insects
- User alerts to atypical counts and spikes in numbers
- Provides a digital image for cross checking and audit reporting

The counting software has been developed in-house and we have a unit that will accurately count the numbers of small, medium and large insects on a glue board that can be transmitted, along with an image, back to our servers.
Initially, XXX is a small scale trial that will hopefully lead the way to a fully integrated light trap.
It will provide: a Portal Display count, a picture taken at point of count and an alert when the customer-agreed threshold is met.
