Colegas, he recibido varias notificaciones para que elija una respuesta y cierre la pregunta. Aún no se recibe retroalimentación del cliente y la agencia me indicó que dejara el término en inglés. I have not foud a synonimous for tapper in spanish, but in português it is translated like "seringueira" the tree wicht produced the latex, used in several aplications, including a kind of rubber leather. With this are made clouthes, such as jackets, trousers and others. Tey have the property of being waterproof. The name "rubber leather" is transleted in spanish like "cuero de caucho". Then is possible that we are treating over "jaqueta de caucho". That is my opinion.

Thank you all for your help. I requested input from the client. I think "tapper" has to do with the material it is made out of. Apparently, a current fashion fad is latex jackets. I will keep you posted.

Tapper I saw Google numerous hits for 'tapper' jackets, some of which used "trapper" in the heading and 'tapper' in the body; there were many though, that stuck with tapper throughout. However, even looking at photos, I was unable to come to a conclusion as to exactly what a tapper jacket might be.

Io busquè en el dicionário de inglês/português donde encontré "tapper = seringueira". Seringueira es el arbol de goma, o sea el latex. Me parece que esto permite traducir la expression "tapper jacket" como "jaqueta de goma" o algo semejante. Me ocurrió ahora que en Amazônia se produce lo que es llamado de cuero de caucho. Puede ser esta la solucion: jaqueta de caucho.

Si es 'taper' que significa estrechar, entallar. Sería entonces una chaqueta entallada o chaqueta de corte entallado.
