Thanks Per I totally agree with you. And if I had more context, I might be able to figure out what among the many possibilities it might be. (but as it is on a ship, I am certain it is nothing to do with "parking" ;-)
I see two very promising potentials posted - that's what makes Kudoz so great!

P-kontroll is parking control P-kontroll is also a company name. Googling P-kontroll with or without quotes produces a score of results, all to deal with parking, none particularly maritime. P could be personnummer, passport, positive, police - just about anything short of Pandemic. More context desperately needed.
