whisk off I whisk off my pretty red sweater and toss it on the chair ...

Kilka synonimów i wyrazów/wyrażeń bliskoznacznych: https://synonim.net/synonim/rach-ciach .
Tutaj kilka = 108, a można znaleźć jeszcze inne. Trudno powiedzieć, który jest najbardziej "correct term" dla zrzucania z siebie sweterka na krzesełko. ;-)
Andrzej Mierzejewski Feb 23, 2021:
That's a slang, colloquial expression that can be heard in various alterations, modifications etc., so I would say there's nothing like a "correct term" in such case.
geopiet Feb 23, 2021:
re: correct Polish term is 'rach-ciach' or 'rachu- what about „trzask-prask” .... :)

I agree with Andrzej. If it is supposed to mean something is done quickly, in no time at all, I think the correct Polish term is 'rach-ciach' or 'rachu-ciachu' or something similar. Whereas the 'trach' part mentioned above suggests something is ripped, broken or cut.

"Trach ciach" - I'd easily associate such wording with using scissors to cut anything off or out. But that's only my association and shouldn't be regarded as obligatory.

In the context given, I'd say: in two simple and swift moves.
Jerry Dean (asker) Feb 22, 2021:
Thanks. Wham, bam will fit nicely, for something comes after this ;)
geopiet Feb 22, 2021:
i used to know it as „ciach, prach” ....
geopiet Feb 22, 2021:
i was tempted to suggest "wham, bam", but you know what it usually goes with :)
