I think this is what they mean here.
Note from asker:
Hello, Giovanni, what happens is that the standards are not detailed in the text or even listed, only mentioned. They exist outside the contract. |

I would say
--------------------------------------------------
Note added at 10 hrs (2021-04-02 03:59:39 GMT)
--------------------------------------------------
and you should add "standard" as in "standard terms and conditions"

so: expands on the standard terms and conditions of the contract and is binding"

It seems as if these standards being referenced are previously mentioned.
As a consequence, "explayarse" seems to refer to these standards.
I don't think any "elaboration" is involved. My translation is straightforward because it means that such provisions (as previously mentioned) extend to the standards. Another word for standards here would be "provisions," in my opinion. You could also say something like "conforms to the standards," but that might be deviating too much.

Note from asker:
Hi Matthew. The rub is that the said standards are not described or listed in the contract, only referenced. Your translation proposal as "conforms to the standards" would make more sense. The idea appears to be that the company that is a party to that contract adheres to the standards of ethics. |
