English term

defined above as part of

English to French Law/Patents Law: Contract(s) droits d\'exploitation minière
Dans la phrase:
"Thereafter, the parties entered into intense, arms-length negotiations, which
resulted in the signing of the Basic Convention Agreement (defined above as part of, along with
other relevant agreements, including the Blocks 1 and 2 Permit and Balambra Mining Concession,
the “Convention”)."

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (1): GILLES MEUNIER

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

@ Asker I agree with Daryo: there is nothing missing at all.

Break it down: "...signing of the Basic Convention Agreement [which has been] defined above ... as part of the "Convention".
Germaine Apr 27, 2021:

Daryo Apr 27, 2021:
Nothing is missing at all It's only a question of recognising the structure of the whole sentence.

Having to deal for years with sentences sprawling over pages and pages gives you some practice ...

English term (edited): [the Basic Convention Agreement] defined above as part of, ...., the “Convention”
Selected

[the Basic Convention Agreement] defined above as part of, along with other relevant agreements, including the Blocks 1 and 2 Permit and Balambra Mining Concession, the “Convention”
=

this "Basic Convention Agreement" was included in what is referred to as the “Convention”, and became part of it TOGETHER WITH

other relevant agreements, including (in these "other relevant agreements")

"the Blocks 1 and 2 Permit and Balambra Mining Concession"

SO they negotiated FIRST this " Basic Convention Agreement", and later added to it various "other relevant agreements" [Blocks 1 and 2 Permit and Balambra Mining Concession being amongst them]

and ALL these together make the "Convention"

IOW the main thread is:

[the Basic Convention Agreement] defined above as part of, ..., the “Convention”

and

"along with other relevant agreements, including the Blocks 1 and 2 Permit and Balambra Mining Concession"

is only an inserted additional information.
