Estoy traduciendo la introducción de un programa de estudios de arquitectura de la Universidad Simón Bolívar en Venezuela.

"El arquitecto que busca graduar la USB está abierto al diálogo interdisciplinario y a la cooperación con todos los responsables del "**hacer ciudad**": profesionales de otras disciplinas, agentes sociales y, sobre todo, comunidades y habitantes.

¿Alguien sabe a qué se refiere "hacer ciudad" en este contexto?

'hacer ciudad' - del título de un libro "Hacer Cuidad" - “Presentación del libro del Prof. Arq. xxxxx. El pasado viernes 27 de abril se realizó en la sala del Consejo de Facultad de Arquitectura la presentación del libro recientemente publicado por CSIC-UdelaR del Profesor e Investigador del ITU, Arq. Edgardo Martínez, titulado: “Paradigmas de Intervención Pública Latinoamericana en Hábitat Urbano – Impulso y freno del aporte regional a la innovación del ‘hacer ciudad’ con sus pobladores”.

It's actually part of the title of a book but the verb fits the concept nicely, I feel:

agree Luigi Benetton : I don't know what "USB" is (I automatically think computer cable connections) but in this context, "urban development" is highly idiomatic
