Some of us are lawyers and keen on helping Danish damsels in 'distress'.
The foreign branches of my City of London law firm had a policy of translating literally in the event of doubt. However, some UK and US law firm clients demanded an interpretation.
Sometimes the interpretation - in the case of a dispute or professional negligence claim - had to go to the High Court on a 'construction summons' where the court was asked to interpret the meaning, with the help of expert linguists, lawyers, and - preferably from those working in the profession e.g. in one case the court preferred the opinion of a City Banker on a bill of exchange translation to those of a London Uni. academic - on points 1-4: 'is it 1. ,2 , 3....'.
Some organizations will have a dedicated person for contract management known as a contract manager.

: Ironically the lawyer rejects the perfectly adequate literal translation, unnecessarily introducing an element of interpretation (of the bleeding obvious) and then unnecessarily rewording the whole thing to introduce an element of ambiguity. Glad IANAL.

Laughably, a right scream to vote non-pro when, by Bar professional standards, it would be negligent for Counsel to fail to point to a possible ambiguity, at least for management devoted to the contract in the sense of obsessed with the contract.
