English term

grounded in a particularly vicious gully

Homework / test English to Spanish Art/Literary Geography travel guide
From Cariatiz to Marchalico-Viñicas and La Herrería, another bridleway initially coincided with the one described above, before following the line of the modern tarmac road south-east to cross the N-340a at grid reference 58331104. It then skirted the southern boundary of the enormous gypsum quarry along what nowadays is a very drivable track across the heart of Los Yesares plateau to the abandoned houses at Marchalico-Viñicas. From there the way plunges down to cross the motorway and so reach La Herrería. This latter part is not always drivable, as a friend of ours found out when his jeep grounded in a particularly vicious gully that runoff had incised into the surface.
