German term
Längstrecken ädhäsiolyse
German to English
Medical
Medical (general)
General surgery
In a surgery report:
Zustand nach Längstrecken ädhäsiolyse und Darmresektion mit Peritonitis vor 48 Stunden.
Now, as far as I know, there is no such longutitunal type of adhesiolysis. Would it be wrongful to make such a literary translation? Strangely, I have never come across the expression "Längstrecken ädhäsiolyse" in German texts, either.

extensive adhesiolysis
What is most likely meant here in German is: Adhäsiolyse über eine lange Strecke.
The patient has developed adhesions and much scarring (peritonitis) and thus extensive adhesiolysis as well as bowel resection are required.

Note from asker:
This one looks more likely. I used it in my translation. Danke schön! |
