@ Bourth About rocker panel moulding being US rather than UK English: possibly but I found references on UK, Canadian and Australian sites too and I guess it should be "molding" in US English. Then again, I'm not a native speaker...

In the automotive industry many parts have different names and it's up to each maker to use one term rather than the other. For example 'door sill trims" can be named 'garnitures de seuil', 'seuils', 'enjoliveurs de seuil', etc. in French.

As for 'side skirts', you have convinced me that they can be part of the original equipment too but I have the feeling that it's got a more or less sporty or stylish connotation. This is confirmed by at least two of your last references:
"Besides more aggressive front/rear bumpers and gloss black trim, M Sport also comes with side skirts, body-coloured wheel arch trim..." => so the previous version did not have any side skirts at all? What was there instead?
"The sporty sedan comes with side skirts, which minimize the amount of air that goes..." => so there are cars without side skirts? What do they have instead? (Okay, it comes from the Korea Herald and the comma should be ignored maybe...)
Bourth Feb 26, 2023:
You have a point, Charles, but they can be original equipment too. More in my added comments.

Side skirts The phrase is simple and seducing. However I wonder if it is not more often used for add-ons to improve aerodynamics and style.

"Car side skirts are aftermarket parts designed to improve handling and traction, prevent damage from road debris, and amplify style."
https://getjerry.com/car-repair/what-are-side-skirts-on-a-ca...

"If you have ever seen an automotive side skirt and wondered “What are they?” and “What do they do?” you are not alone. These extra few inches on a car may not seem to serve a purpose, but they can affect a car’s performance greatly. They also add visual appeal to the vehicle."
https://ezlip.com/blogs/news-updates/automotive-side-skirts-...

"Side skirts offer a decrease in high pressure and an increase in downforce, making your ride smoother, faster, and safer."
https://darwinproaero.com/blogs/news/understanding-what-side...

"Side skirts do more than just streamline the side of your car, earning you car show points; they help prevent airflow from making its way underneath the chassis from the vehicle’s sides..."

While I agree that side skirts are also add-on 'tuning' items, they can also be part of the original equipment. In the latter case I am more prepared to believe they make an actual difference to performance, in the former I tend to think they serve to make the car look as if it goes faster slash cost more slash pulls the girls slash boys better.

"Besides more aggressive front/rear bumpers and gloss black trim, M Sport also comes with side skirts, body-coloured wheel arch trim and five double-spoke rims. "

"The Avante N is the first sedan to be launched under the carmaker's high-performance N brand.
The sporty sedan comes with side skirts, which minimize the amount of air that goes under the car from the sides and a wing-type spoiler that helps reduce sound and air resistance, Hyundai said in a statement."

"Our P600 Side Skirts give the Porsche Panamera 970 more dynamic and highlight the sporty line of the vehicle. The material is made from the highest-quality fibreglass mix, carefully laminated by hand, and then processed.
The P600 Side Skirts replace the original Side Skirts and give the Porsche Panamera 970 an individual character and racing flair with a touch of class.

I am terribly disappointed Bentley plays this silly game, but they have been playing to the new / ill-come-by money market for decades now. I shall not buy one if only for this behaviour.

"Bentley customers can add an extra sporting edge to their Continental GT, Continental GT Convertible or Bentayga with the addition of the Styling Specification. Crafted by hand to exact tolerances following an extensive development programme, the Styling Specification includes a front bumper splitter, SIDE SKIRTS with metallic Bentley badges, rear diffuser and boot lid spoiler in high gloss carbon fibre. The Bentayga package also includes a bi-plane tailgate spoiler and rear screen strakes, again all in high gloss carbon fibre, with the additional options of front air blades, wing vents and mirror caps in a matching finish.
The progression of design, development, testing and sign-off of these components is a smaller-scale facsimile of the process that Bentley goes to across every aspect of a new model, and showcases the attention to detail for which Bentley is renowned.
Like the veneer that adorns the cabin space, the carbon fibre exterior components are mirror-matched across the centreline of the car for precise visual appeal. The carbon fibre weave is a 2x2 twill pattern, woven in the same direction for all components to ensure consistency. The carbon fibre is laid-up in multiple layers, each oriented for optimum strength and durability whilst maintaining minimal weight.
The SIDE SKIRTS include an exquisite detail with the inclusion of a three-dimensional electroformed Bentley badge. The profile of the badge was developed specially for the Styling Specification, to minimise the risk of air bubbles forming in the lacquer overcoat while still providing the eye-catching faceted appearance.
[...]
The Styling Specification is available to order through Bentley’s network of retailers, and can be specified when a new car is ordered or retrofitted at a later date to enhance a customer’s existing car. The option will also soon be introduced to the new Flying Spur."

sill trims

DISCLAIMER: I know nothing about cars!
Peer comment(s):

neutral Bourth : While I understood this from the French, there is danger of confusion with DOOR sill trims, usually bright chrome or S/S embossed with the brand's logo etc.

agree Andrew Bramhall : More than likely; worth far more than CL1; Bourth logic flawed IMHO.

rocker panel moulding / cover / guard

Bas de caisse is rocker panel (or rocker).

Rocker panel moulding here again: https://www.xeforums.co.uk/attachments/rocker-panel-pdf.1145...

This PDF is interesting because it describes exactly the same procedure (installation and removal of a 'rocker panel moulding') as this page: https://citroen.c5x7.fr/enjoliveur-bas-caisse

I think the pictures are quite conclusive.
Peer comment(s):

neutral Andrew Bramhall : Definitely not a " rocker cover"! They are for gaskets : https://www.bing.com/search?ptag=AN1874&q=rocker cover gaske...

I did not suggest rocker cover.
agree Bourth : Didn't know the term. It looks to me as if it's an American expression (despite it being on a UK site).

sill mouldings

I found the term in question on TERMIUM Plus and hope the answer provided by the Canadian database helps a decision to be reached.
Peer comment(s):

neutral Charles R. : Well possibly but Termium also says "moulure de bas de caisse" for "rocker panel moulding". Then I would like to know the difference between "enjoliveur de bas de caisse" and "moulure de bas de caisse" // This vid is off-topic.
