It's related to manufacturing a muzzle brake for rifles. Confusing sentence. Are they talking about:
- 1 creating a ceramic casting form out of "a type of wax"
- 2 creating a "ceramic casting form from a wax mould"...
- 3 or is "en keram" referring to a specific type of mould, or die?

a ceramic mold is created in a wax form
The ceramic mold is created using a wax mold, and the ceramic mold is used in creating the metal piece. The wax withstands the ceramic (but not the metal) and is used to shape the ceramic into a hollow mold. The ceramic withstands the molten metal which is poured into the ceramic mold after the wax is removed.

I agree in principle with Deane's proposal except that I think it should be "a wax mold", not "form.
