¿ Os suena bien su traducción como cultivación?
Yo lo traduciria como "cultivo" pero por ejemplo en el caso que os expongo al estar la palabra "crop" que es cultivo ,me hace pensar el usar mejor cultivación, aunque sigue sonándome rarísimo.

Un consejo: si no estás seguro, antes de opinar nunca está de más comprobarlo. Por ejemplo, en IATE. No sé, la peña lleva decenios traduciendo textos del sector agrícola. Pero si prefieres opinar sin documentarte, tampoco es delito.

: con tan pocos mimbres, lo único que parece tener sentido sería algo como: "la dirección en la que crecerá/se desarrollará la cosecha" y si acaso añadir "durante el cultivo".

In the absence of meaningful context, I suggest it might refer to the movement of crop plants when approached/attacked by a mechanical harvester (and perhaps how that movement affects the design of the machine).

queda bastante claro que se prefiere "de siembra" y se puede alternar con "de sembrado" por variar.
y si lo que sugiere slothm se ajusta al contexto, tendría sentido algo como:
"la dirección en la que rotará la cosecha durante [todo] el [proceso de] cultivo".
alguna imagen o más menciones del texto serían de agradecer
Lo que hace normalmente un buen cultivador, es rotar los lotes plantados.
No será que sigue un plan de plantación en una dirección dentro del predio?
Un intento de entender la escueta frase.

Por cierto, viendo la respuesta de Teresa y pensando en eso de "move"...
debe de ser hacia dónde crece. Porque moverse no creo que se mueva ni que se desplace.
Serán plantas normales, ¿no?, de las que se plantan y tiran "p'arriba", que dicen.
Podría quedar más natural algo como:
"la dirección en la que crecerá/se desarrollará la cosecha" y si acaso añadir "durante el cultivo".
