German term

vermittelt unmittelbare

German to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general)
Hi all,

This text is in relation to articles of association, shareholders' rights, etc. Cannot find anything suitable for this phrase unfortunately ("vermittelt unmittelbare Mitglieder"). Any help much appreciated. Here's the sentence in full below:

§ 4 Kreis der Aktionäre
(1) Aktien können erwerben:
1.
Unmittelbare oder vermittelt unmittelbare Mitglieder eines in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland ansässigen genossenschaftlichen Prüfungsverbandes und Mitglieder des Deutschen Raiffeisenverbandes, insbesondere Primärgenossenschaften.

Thanks,

Gavin

Possibly something like ... ... "referred" (as an adjective for the adverb "vermittelt"), although you'd probably have to paraphrase. Seems as if newly founded cooperatives are referred to an auditing association for mandatory annual auditing.

"Der Zentralverband deutscher Konsumgenossenschaften e.V. ist als Beratungs- und Interessenvertretungsverband tätig. ... Der Verband unterstützt Neugründungen und vermittelt diese zu Prüfungsverbänden."

procured direct (members)

Unmittelbar = direct. One possible translation for ‘vermittelt’ is procured.
So you could possibly translate it as:
Direct or procured direct members of a cooperative auditing association domiciled in the Federal Republic of Germany.

German term (edited): vermittel(s)t unmittelbare Miglieder

vicariously through direct members

vermittelt as the antonym of unvermittelt, so as agents or viicariously. Likelier to be a typo or mix-up of vermittels, vermittelt and - the rare form of - vermittelst.
Example sentence:

Alle Produktion ist Aneignung der Natur von Seiten des Individuums innerhalb und vermittelst einer bestimmten Gesellschaftsform.

ver·mit·tels, vermittelst /vermíttels,vermíttelst/ Präposition

neutral Andrew Bramhall : "Vicariously''...?? as experienced or lived through in the imagination?? Since the site upgrade, the mutual block didn't "carryover", lol!

Cut to 'vicarious liability' in the law of agency and your tactical voting 'Note: Your right to enter peer comments for this answerer has been suspended. Message: You have been restricted from interacting with this user. This is a *mutual* block.'
