Catalan term
Batle de xxxxx
Catalan to English
Social Sciences
Engineering: Industrial
Sorry to all Catalan or Mallorquin speakers for indicating the language as Catalan when it is Mallorqin but it was the only available option. It appears at the end of a letter from a town hall, and from the context, can only be Municipality or Mayor, but which?

Mayor
Presume it's the Mallorcan equivalent of Catalan "batlle" (Mayor) There are also some examples of it in google: "gràcies a la confiança que el batle Antoni Serra"; "el Batle Sebastià Vidal Bonet", etc.

Comment: "Thanks a lot. Most of the doc's in Castillean, but the odd phrase is in Mallorquin and this one was giving me headaches. "
