Thanks respondents Deborah, I did locate the same definition that you did in the Collins Spanish dictionary, as well as doing an extensive google search, but ended up turning to the KudoZ community because I was hoping someone else could come up with a snappier saying than I could manage to think of. I think Berni's may come the closest in that regard, but it's still going to sound strange shoved into that context (then again, I think it looks a little strange in the original!).

I've still got some time to think on it, so any more suggestions are appreciated (a horse for every course, everyone's an expert, etc.)!

Context is unfortunately not very helpful; it's a narrator in a short story:

"me salgo por la tangente, le digo que no contestar�, pero que a cambio intentar� traducirle dos expresiones populares:" of which the first is the requested saying.

Okay, to be fair, he changes subjects when asked whether a literary contest in which all judges are authors themselves will do any better at judging it. Then follows the quoted text.

Basically I agree with the above definition. This means "you'll find no shortage of experts" - but I can't think of an obvious existing equivalent.

If it is the sense that is more important you might have to coin something like my weak attempt in the title line. If it is the popularity of the phrase you should go for "Too many cooks spoil the broth...." or a version of "Do bears defecate in Sylvan pastures?" ;-)
