That's what they call them in the U.S.

Something like 12,700 Google hits. The difference being that in the U.S. they\'re also used to give dogs a fenced-in space for running, roaming & doing \"their thing\" too... The difference in size & uses is due to a space issue as well, because space is at a premium in BCN while there\'s no want of it in most of the States.

I just saw the last reference given by Sheila - looks like they call it the same in Australia too.

neutral Berni Armstrong : This is obviously right, but I can't help feel this is another euphemism we shouldn't encourage. Call a toilet a toilet say I. Call "collateral damage" murder of civilians!

Would you prefer something along the lines of "pooch potties"? ;-)))

Hi David,

I can't say I know of any specific name and haven't found anything on the net. Therefore, just a suggestion.

Good luck!

dog's toilet / dog's toilet area in park???

I have sometimes wondered about this one too - when passing these smelly places! I don't think I've ever seen one outside of Spain. If you don't find anything else, I suppose you could always call it a 'dog's toilet'! Or use the word 'pipi-can' and explain what is is - see below too.

I have been visiting this site for years, first with my children and now with my grandchildren. If you want a family friendly site this is the place to go. There is no club house but the pub, five minutes walk is child friendly with a play area at the back. the toilet and showers are cleaned regularly and are of a high standard. There is a campsite shop launderette, and a play area. Dogs are welcome but are not allowed to roam, and there is a dog's toilet on site. If you want a fuss free site with lots of interesting places in walking distance this is the site for you.
