Article 561
An appeal challenges the already judged matter before the court of appeal so that it will freshly be judged upon its
factual and legal points.
Article 562
An appeal brings to the cognisance of the court only those points of the judgement that it impugns expressly or
tacitly and those subordinate to them.
The devolution will take place for the whole (matter) where the appeal is not limited to certain points, where it is
directed to nullify the judgement or if the object of the dispute is indivisible.
Article 563
To support on appeal the claims submitted before a lower judge, parties may raise new grounds, produce new
documents or offer new evidence.
