filter (or flag) Explanation: Remove this filter code if the customer wishes to receive marketing material A 'helle' is a protected area -- en forhøjning der deler en vej, og hvor fodgængere kan stå i sikkerhed for trafikken according to Nudansk Ordbog. Customers are 'protected' from marketing material when the code is active. 'Flag' (include) and 'filter' are often used in English for selecting or deselecting from a list or database. From another point of view, the selection process could be called flagging a customer - this is when they are positively selected. This does connect with 'helle' as a flat stone (flagstone) in the road, but it is more often linked with the other type of flag - the coloured marker type. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 10 hrs (2009-04-23 10:10:36 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- A 'helle' in traffic is of course a traffic island, thoug it is not terribly relevant here. |
