Zařízení vypadá tak, že se jedná o velké množství plechů (metal sheets) navzájem spájených na sobě a mezi nimi se nacházejí mikrokanálky, ve kterých probíhají různé kapalinové procesy. Např. Fischer-Tropsch Reactor.
