The proposal would enable borrowers of Currency Pool and dollar Pool loans to convert the interest rate basis of their loans to a variable rate at one percentage point over 6-month LIBOR, or the fixed rate equivalent of this rate. Based on current forward market rate, these rates are expected to be lower than the above-market rates projected for these pool loans and will therefore lower the kost for borrowers.
