Could MX possibly be MS = multiple sclerosis as in the further sentence? Elene, please check document for multiple sclerosis. And agree with Sophia. I thought DS could potentially be "diagnosis", this should be considered as well.

Mx Mx is usually an abbreviation of 'management' like Rx is treatment. But in this sentence, it sounds like it would mean 'diagnosis' i.e. DS encephalitis was added to the diagnosis.
