Yes, that is what it is. Sorry for not being clear about that. Thanks for asking!
Refugio Jul 9, 2005:
We need more context. Is it a promotion of summer rates?

They\'re pool-side parties/events taking place at the hotel (maybe a weekly bash/get-together with a particular theme to get guests involved/create \"buzz\"). :-)

Given the context of summer rate specials, perhaps \"el (gran) chapuzón del verano\"

\"Venga a disfrutar del gran chapuzón de verano en los hoteles XXX\"

In the Dominican Republic, this word has a really positive connotation, as this is how people describe what they do to cool-off, taking \"a dip\" in a river or at the beach. :-)

(promocion) "gala de verano"

Splash here is a play on words, combining the ideas of splashing about in the hotel pool, a party atmosphere, and the idiom "to make a splash", which means to get a lot of attention.

verano desopilante

Aunque no tiene nada que ver con "splash", si se refiere a la reducción de tarifas, se podría aplicar, como así también, un verano de locos, increíble.

Una sugerencia.

Suerte Lisa!
