All participants receive seton treatment before being randomized into the study. This seton is removed at the week 0 visit. If you are randomized to the SOC treatment group in Part 1, you will have the seton replaced with a new one at week 0.
You will receive a general anesthetic. A soft flexible tube or string known as seton will then be looped though the fistula opening to allow the fistula tract to remain open to allow for drainage and reduce the risk of infection.
If you are randomized to receive xx in Part 1, or are eligible and choose to participate in Part 2:
You will receive a general anesthetic. The seton will be removed and the fistula will be cleaned. The xxx will then be inserted into the fistula and approximately 4-6 sutures will be used to secure it in place. You will receive after care instructions.
