Kısacası "ostomy" açılan yere takılan koruyucu parçanın yerinde durmasını, suyla temas etmemesini, kolay aşınmamasını vs. sağlıyor.

Türkçede "ostomy" için "stoma" kullanılıyor. Ben de bu terimden yola çıkarak aramalar yaptığımda aşağıdaki kaynaklarda cilt bariyeri, yapışkan bant ve elastik bant olarak geçtiğini gördüm.
