French term

armatures

French to English Tech/Engineering Engineering (general) from Tunisia's CCAG on public works
[no accents because unable to cut and paste the text]

Many thanks for your help.

reinforcement

The most likely candidate, though it always helps to know what structures are being referred to. E.g. in the case of cables it would be armouring and if the armatures are frame-like structures, it could even be "armatures" in English.

neutral B D Finch : Too specific; not all reinforcement is in the form of rebars.
