French term

brochon

French to English Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering Descriptive leaflet for plant for processing waste
"[Brand name of unit] est un ventilateur déchiqueteur à brochon auto-ajustable ou réglable, à transmission ou à accouplement direct avec variateur de vitesse."

This concerns the same job as the last question I posted. I can find no reference for "brochon" except the name of town in France. Yet this is, here, clearly part of the mechanism for this shredder or cutter or whatever.

Somebody give me an insight on "brochon", please.

Adam Thomson (asker) May 1, 2012:
No sure answer yet. I put in my own conclusion I decided that "brochon" had to do with the housing or funnel that was the "anvil" for the blades, holding the stuff against the blades as they chopped. The housing was adjustable or auto-adjustable in position to suit the stuff being chopped and the blades being used. This is my own reading of the situation. If the waste industry collapses as a result of this decision on my part, I will own up to the responsibility.
