Not having a diagram in front of me, I\'m guessing that the \"cam\" is a rotating profile which operates some device in a periodic sequence whose spatial coordinates depend on the cam profile. The \"défaut calcul\" seems to imply that the design of the cam was incorrect right from the start, which seems odd. Sometimes they do slip on their shafts, which can upset the correct sequence of operation, but I wouldn\'t have called that a \"défaut calcul\".
